The success of BBSA relies on the support and engagement of our alumni. As an alum, there are many ways to stay involved in the BBSA community including:
Alumni Advisory Board: The BBSA Alumni Advisory Board serves as both a sounding board for current students and a liaison to our expansive alumni network in an effort to strengthen the alumni presence within and impact on the BBSA and Columbia Business School community. Current members of the BBSA Alumni Advisory Board include:
- Wariz Anifowoshe '16
- Kimberly Frye Alula '12
- Jess Givens '15
- Sheena Gordon '12
- Kristina Indiana Hunt '07
- Alia McCants '13
- Uzo Ometu '13
Monthly Networking Mixers: The BBSA hosts monthly mixers with alumni on the 1st Wednesday of every month. These events are intended to strengthen the bonds between current students and alumni. Alumni from all class years are welcome. Like our page on Facebook to get details on this month's mixer.
Alumni Gala: The Alumni Gala is a longstanding BBSA tradition. This flagship event unites students, alumni, and friends of the Black Business Students Association to network and celebrate our legacy. Find out more about this year's Gala in our Events section.
Mentoring: The BBSA Alumni Mentorship Program matches current members with alumni who have similar career interests, professional affiliations and personal aspirations. Alumni will provide professional development guidance including networking support, resume feedback, interview prep and industry insights.
